An animated series based on Nintendo’s Kirby franchise, “Kirby” was adapted from the original Japanese anime by 4Kids Productions and dubbed into English. The original Japanese score was completely replaced by 4Kids with only a few sound effects being retained, some of which were already in the 4Kid’s library. The 4Kids’ version was distributed by 20th Century Fox, Nelvana Enterprises and HAL Laboratory, Inc.
Like most of the 4Kids productions/shows, 8 – 10 episodes are produced with original score/composition. That audio is then given to editors to edit and sometimes compose new music for the remainder of the series.
