“Hard To Hold” is a musical drama film released in 1984 which starred Rick Springfield. At the time Rick was a regular on “General Hospital” playing Dr. Noah Drake and was fast becoming known in the rock/pop world.

 

“Love Somebody,” a single from the soundtrack reached #5 on the U.S. Hot Singles Chart. Jeff performed guitars and provided pre-production assistance on the “Hard To Hold” album, recorded at Sound City Studios, Van Nuys, California.

 

During that time Jeff was writing and producing with Rick on songs that would later be released on the “From The Vault” CD.
